What is WORLD PEACE?

World peace, means one mindset big enough to make the decisions about what everybody else wants, and the rest of the world conforming. That is the ultimate definition of world peace. You say, "Oh, let's get along!" And what each of you mean is, "You do what I want." A peaceful world means, "Everybody wanting what I want. Going along with what I want." And the only problem with that is, there are more than one of you, and you have endless desires that are born within you. The ultimate experience is, everyone having their experience and launching their individual rockets of desire, and the Universe yielding to all of them simultaneously. And everybody not worrying about what anybody else created, and so, then allowing what they are wanting. What a world that is, when there are endless desirers, who are allowing the fulfillment of their own desires.
Wow!
Wow!
Dot x Cat x Mouse x Peace x Love
Now if we could just get different races of Humans to be cordial to eachother we'd really be onto something.

I WANT YOU TO GET MAD!
Let's Get Into It. What shocks me about this movie is that it was made in 1976, and it' relevance is so strong today in 2010 that it chills my bones. Mind control via Television and Mass Media is a recurring topic in my life and I'm getting deeper into the rabbit hole. Listen to Mr. Beale. . he's talking directly to YOU.
"I'm as mad as hell and I'm NOT gonna take this anymore!"
"You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations. There are no peoples. There are no Russians. There are no Arabs. There are no Third Worlds. There is no West. There is only one holistic system of systems. One vast and immane, interwoven, interacting, multi-varied, multi-national dominion of dollars. Petro-dollars, electro-dollars, multi-dollars, reichmarks, rands, rubles, pounds and shekels.
It is the international system of currency which determines the totality of life on this planet. That is the natural order of things today. That is the atomic, and sub-atomic and galactic structure of things today.
We no longer live in a world of nations and ideologies, Mr Beale. The world is a college of corporations, inexorably determined by the immutable bye-laws of of business. The world is a business, Mr Beale. It has been since man crawled out of the slime.
And our children will live, Mr Beale, to see that ... perfect ... world in which there is no war nor famine, oppression or brutality. One vast and ecumenical holding company for whom all men will work to serve a common profit. In which all men will hold a share of stock.
All necessities provided. All anxieties tranquilized. All boredom amused."

I talk a lot of shit on the music in the media, so it is my responsibility to share music that I find positive, and I WILL. I stumbled across this artist named Quest today, and I dig it.

This might offend you. We'll call that COGNITIVE DISSONANCE. So Let's face the facts now.
Hip-Hop was purchased in the 1990's and has been used as a tool since to:
1. Brainwash our people
2. Convince our people to spend all of our money on frivolous things
3. Keep us trapped in a mind-state where we will never discover our true power and the potential in which all of us really have.
If someone steps outside of the box: ie (Money is the motive, Sell drugs, Kill each other, It's all about being FLY, bullshit) then they are silenced and not supported by the record industry. They will literally make an artist re-do a whole album if he is popular and has something REAL to say. And to be real, all that we wanna hear is that BULLSHIT because it's been perpetuated in our society SO much, that by now GUCCI MANE is the hot shit.
Let's take a look at the society.
"According to a recent Child Trends DataBank report, 69.5% of African-American children are born to an unmarried mother, in comparison to 47.9% of Hispanic children, 25.4% of White children, and 16.2% of Asian/Pacific Islander children. Most Black families with children don’t break up - they never form to begin with." Source - www.fathersandfamilies.org
By an alarming majority, there are no FATHER FIGURES in the black household. Fathers are very important because young men learn how to be a man from their father. A majority of all human learning is through MODELING; meaning -MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO-. When all that these young blacks see ignorance, they will perpetuate it, and that is what they will become.
It's deeper than whether or not your favorite rapper wants to be a role model. The fact of the matter is that you listen to him so much, that you emulate the way he talks, dresses, thinks, etc. simply based on the fact that you have continuous exposure to him.
The brain is like a blank computer when you're born, and the only things that a child will learn, meaning the only way a child will act, meaning the only things a child will experience are the things related to that programmed into the processing.
This isn't only about children, our friends and loved ones that are grown are suffering from the same poison implanted through the mass media.

A Debate Amongst Giants
Cornell West had a few things to say about this debate. I would side with him. The characters in Tyler Perry's works ARE popular, but that doesn't mean that they are the most positive images that African-Americans could be consuming.
"Spike Lee is a GREAT filmmaker, Tyler Perry is a GOOD filmmaker."
Tyler Perry rebuts:
These characters aren't REAL people, and REAL people is who we need. It's 2010.
