Validation: The Movie
Validation, everybody needs it. The reason that people do things is because they want people to tell them that they did a good job. That paycheck is validation for the hard work that was done for the last 2 weeks. People dress nice because they want a guy to notice them. It's all about validation. If you can give people what they want validation, then they will be forever indebted to you.

That was a good short film! You're absolutely right; everyone needs some sort of validation, even a small compliment, now and then. When I was working door to door sales for AT&T, I often complimented each client on something to break the ice. I didn't always make the sale, but even the meanest 'Joe' would lighten up and converse with me. I met a lot of great people.
